Club BLU is one of Al Habtoor City's signature dining and entertainment venues — a space where every design element is expected to meet the standard of one of Dubai's most recognisable luxury hospitality brands. When Al Habtoor commissioned Creative Vision Global for the curtain installation, the brief was clear: dramatic, floor-to-ceiling fabric presence that could hold its own in a venue of this calibre.
The project required bespoke decorative curtains across the restaurant's main dining areas, private sections, and key accent zones — each tailored precisely to the architecture of the space and the venue's deep, atmospheric colour palette.
Every element was custom-made: fabric selection, heading style, track specification, and finishing details including tiebacks and pelmet treatment. No off-the-shelf solution was considered.
What made this project demanding
Precision fabric matching
Al Habtoor's interior specification required exact colour and texture alignment with existing furnishings, upholstery, and wall finishes. We sourced premium fabrics across multiple suppliers before finalising a deep-tone velvet that complemented the venue's palette without competing with it.
Out-of-hours installation access
Club BLU operates across lunch and dinner service. All installation work had to be completed during restricted access windows without disrupting venue operations — requiring precise scheduling and a structured team deployment across multiple phases.
Large-format and non-standard window heights
Several sections of the venue feature double-height ceilings and architectural window features requiring custom-fabricated tracks and extended drop lengths beyond standard sizing. All cutting, stitching, and heading work was handled in-house for exact results.
Hospitality-grade durability requirement
A restaurant at this volume of daily covers demands fabrics and fittings that maintain their appearance under constant use, cleaning cycles, and significant air conditioning exposure. All products specified meet commercial-grade durability standards while retaining a luxury finish.
What we installed
Fabrics were chosen to balance the venue's deep ambient lighting — rich enough in colour to create visual presence, with sufficient weight to drape dramatically at height without losing structure during service hours.
